Call out a specialist

A fuse box gives up, a tap won’t stop running, the Eid poster needs designing. You don’t need a rota for that, and you don’t need to spam the whole team either. Post the call-out with the skill it needs, and Kadim texts only the volunteers who have that skill.

Post the call-out

  1. Sign in with your mosque account and open Tasks (/coordinator/tasks).
  2. Tap the + button to open the posting sheet, then describe what needs doing, e.g. “Faulty lighting in the sisters' section”.
  3. Enter the skill needed as a lowercase, hyphenated tag, e.g. electrician, first-aider, graphic-design.
  4. Pick the needed-by date and tap Post.

That’s it. Matched by skill, no broadcast: only volunteers of your mosque with that skill on their profile are texted the link. Everyone else hears nothing, which is exactly why the texts that do land get answered.

The Tasks list shows whether each call-out is Open, Accepted or Done, and the chips above it (All, Open, Accepted, Done) filter the list down to one of those states in a tap. Tap a task and its details open in a sheet. From there, Manage on rota board opens the existing board where you can see the volunteer’s acceptance and complete the work. Coordinators do not assign a matched volunteer: each volunteer chooses whether to accept through the secure claim link.

Accepting and completing

Skill profiles and service history

On any board, tap the slot they hold and follow the volunteer’s name in the panel to see their profile: their declared skills and the call-outs they’ve completed, including call-outs completed at other mosques they belong to. A brother who fixed the lights at one mosque is visibly the person to call at the other.

When you are signed in as a coordinator, you can also open Team and tap a member’s row to reach the same member page. It shows only skills already recorded for that person and their positive service history: work they have completed, never missed or declined requests. This route is not available as a public directory, and it never lets one mosque browse people who are not already members there.
