Add your duties to your calendar
Once you have claimed a slot, you can have your duties appear in the calendar you already use, alongside the school run and everything else. It stays up to date by itself.
Get your calendar link
After you claim, the confirmation offers Add my duties to my calendar, and the same button stays in your slot’s panel whenever you reopen the roster link and tap your slot. Tap it to get a personal link, then add it to your phone:
- iPhone: tap the webcal address shown, and Calendar offers to subscribe.
- Android: the Google Calendar app can’t subscribe by itself. Copy the address, open calendar.google.com in a browser and add it under Other calendars, From URL. It then appears in the app.
What you get
- Just your duties, at that mosque, in the calendar you already check.
- It updates itself. If the mosque moves a time, your calendar follows on its next refresh. There’s nothing to re-add.
- Can’t make a week? Open the event: its notes link back to the roster where you can drop the slot, and carry your coordinator’s first name if you would rather ask a person.
Keep the link to yourself
The link shows only your own duties, so treat it like a key. Need a new one, or want the old one to stop working? Tap Add my duties to my calendar again after a claim: a fresh link replaces the old, and the old one stops working straight away.
Calendar apps refresh on their own schedule, so a change can take a little while to show. The roster link is always the live truth.
